Krikke Motorsport Announce Season Plans
Despite the uncertainty surrounding the 2021-22 Australian Sprintcar season, the Krikke Motorsport team are going ahead with their season plans with Dayne Kingshott; however, their plans with Kerry Madsen remain up in the air.
Krikke Motorsport team manager Ryan Krikke is optimistic about the season ahead and has committed to the SEG Sprintcar Series schedule with Kingshott aboard the WA # 2 Mobil 1 / Bunbury Toyota backed Maxim.
“We are going to be running the full SEG Series schedule with Dayne and the goal is to try and go one spot better in the final point standings after we finished a very close second behind Callum Williamson last season,” he commented.
“Dayne did a fantastic job for our team throughout his first full season in Sprintcars last season and we are confident that we can improve further this season – hopefully picking up a feature race win or two.”
When it comes to Madsen reuniting with the Krikke Motorsport team for the 2021-22 season, Krikke remains realistic about the situation with the ongoing international and state COVID border restrictions.
“To be honest, I’m not too sure what will be happening with Kerry coming back to Australia for this summer, it’s hard to work around current schedules and COVID – who knows what is going to happen with the marque events again this season,” he said.
“Kerry has been in great form running with the Tony Stewart Racing team this year over in America, and the prospects of him returning to Australia to race is a very exciting – especially in his current form, as he is racing as good as I’ve ever seen him race!”
For now…the focus for the Krikke Motorsport team is the opening round of the SEG Series with Kingshott on the Saturday night of October 23 at the Perth Motorplex.
