To say that the Krikke Motorsport team and their driver Kerry Madsen had a consistent 2019-20 season campaign would be quite the understatement.

After a World Series Sprintcars Championship point standings battle that went right down to the final feature race for the 2019-20 season, the Krikke Motorsport team and their driver Kerry Madsen come away with a very strong second place in the points standings.

The Krikke Motorsport team’s quest for this season’s World Series Sprintcar Championship point standings win took a massive leap forward following the dominance over the weekend of team driver Kerry Madsen.

Madsen took out last Friday night’s 11th round at Esperance Speedway and then backed up that form by taking out the following night’s 12th round at the team’s home track of Bunbury Speedway in what was a perfect start to the Western Swing of the World Series Championship.

After leading every feature race lap over the past two rounds by virtue of qualifying on pole position on both occasions, Madsen certainly had to work hard for both of his wins. He came under fire from Brooke Tatnell in the latter stages at the Esperance Speedway round and then from WSS Championship leader McFadden at the Bunbury Speedway round. On both occasions, Madsen kept his nerve and went on to take out a clean sweep of the weekend.

Since winning the Western Australian Title at the Perth Motorplex at the beginning of the season in December of last year, Madsen and the team have been frustratingly winless despite a long list of minor podium finishes which has included numerous narrow losses. However, their winless streak came to an end over the weekend in the best possible fashion by taking out a pair of round wins.

By virtue of the weekend’s WSS Championship round clean sweep, Madsen and the team have now closed the point standings gap between themselves and leader McFadden to a narrow 26 points.

Heading into this weekend’s final two WSS Championship rounds at the Perth Motorplex this Friday and Saturday night, Madsen is now set down with a WSS Championship battle with McFadden.

“It was a great feeling to get back into victory lane, not only for me but for the entire team and all of their efforts,” expressed the WA # 2 Transport Equipment Hire / Pumpa Manufacturing supported Maxim racer.

“Up until now in the World Series Championship, I’ve just been taking each round as it comes and trying not to get too far ahead of myself, but heading into this weekend’s championship final rounds and with the points so close, it’s now or never and it’s going to be really interesting to see who comes out on top.”

For the 10th occasion in the 2019-20 season, Kerry Madsen and the Krikke Motorsport team collected a minor podium finish, this time, it was during last weekend’s Australian 410 Sprintcar Championship at Latrobe Speedway in Tasmania.

After an intense Grand Annual Classic campaign at Warrnambool’s Premier Speedway over the weekend, the Krikke Motorsport team recorded back-to-back third-place finish podium finishes with their team driver Kerry Madsen.

The Krikke Motorsport team couldn’t have asked for a better way to get their 2019-20 season underway last Saturday night, with team driver Kerry Madsen achieving a major milestone for the Bunbury-based outfit: their first ever WA 410 Sprintcar Title three peat.

With their 2019-20 season campaign soon set to begin, the Krikke Motorsport team is pleased to announce their full season schedule, which will once again consist of the World Series Sprintcar (WSS) Championship, along with multiple other marquee events.

For the 20th consecutive season in their long 40-year history, the Krikke Motorsport team is locked in to participate in the 410 Sprintcar World Series Sprintcar (WSS) Championship, with team driver Kerry Madsen chasing what would be the team’s sixth WSS victory throughout the 2019-20 season.
