KINGSHOTT’S EXCITING AMERICAN OPPORTUNITY
The Krikke Motorsport team is excited by the recent news that their driver, Dayne Kingshott, is getting an opportunity to spread his wings in 410 Sprintcar racing over in America this winter.
Kingshott has been announced as the new driver for the Lunstra Motorsports team that is based out of Brandon in the state of South Dakota and the 36-year-old from Bunbury in Western Australia will begin his campaign later next month. The Dave Lunstra-owned team in 2025 had drivers such as Donny Schatz and most recently Tim Kaeding, who are both past Krikke Motorsport team drivers here in Australia, steer the # 3 Lunstra Motorsports Maxim.
Off the back of yet another successful campaign with Krikke Motorsports, which saw him clinch a third Maddington Toyota Series Title in a row and put in a starring performance during the High Limit International at the Perth Motorplex where he ran second to American star Kyle Larson, Kingshott is excited about getting his first taste of 410 Sprintcar racing in America. Kingshott is no stranger to America, after he competed in Indiana aboard his family-owned Midget to run the Indiana Midget Week Series along with selected other events within the state back in 2016.
Krikke Motorsport team manager Ryan Krikke is very excited about this wonderful opportunity in America for his team driver.
“The whole Krikke Motorsport team and I are fully supportive of Dayne’s opportunity to go over to the America with such an established team such as Lunstra Motorsports,” he expressed.
“It’s an incredibly exciting time for Dayne and his family, and we wish him all the very best. He always included us in the conversation with the Lunstra Motorsports team possibility when this deal was coming together and he always had our team at the forefront of his mind when making this decision. We all see this opportunity as a great way for him to stay in the seat over the winter here in Australia, hone his skills and help get him to the next level. As always, we are backing him 100% and it should set us up nicely to hit the ground running again for the upcoming 2026-27 season, which is going to be season # 47 for the Krikke Motorsport team.”
