KMS 2023-24 Season Wrap Up
THE 2023-24 season for the Krikke Motorsport team and Dayne Kingshott has certainly been a good one.
THE 2023-24 season for the Krikke Motorsport team and Dayne Kingshott has certainly been a good one.
THE 2023-24 season was certainly a successful one for the Krikke Motorsport team and their driver Dayne Kingshott, and recently at the Burswood on the Swan in Perth they picked up their fair share of silver wear during the Sprintcar Entrants Group awards night.
THE 2023-24 season concluded on Saturday night at the Perth Motorplex for the Krikke Motorsport team and their driver Dayne Kingshott, and they were able to finish it in the best possible fashion by wrapping up the Maddington Toyota Sprintcar Series crown.
DAYNE Kingshott delivered the Krikke Motorsport team their fourth 2023-24 season victory on last Saturday night at the Perth Motorplex, and it not only helped the team move closer to securing the Maddington Toyota Sprintcar Series but rewarded the whole team for their massive 24-hour effort following a crash the previous night.
THE Krikke Motorsport team and their driver Dayne Kingshott couldn’t have asked for a better performance during last Saturday night’s latest Maddington Toyota Sprintcar Series round at the Perth Motorplex, which saw them not only pick up their third feature-race victory of the 2023-24 season but consolidate their Maddington Toyota Series point standings lead.
IT has certainly been a busy Christmas-New Year period for the Krikke Motorsport team, but their 2023-24 season is set to get even busier. Following regular team driver Dayne Kingshott continuing his solid season by securing a podium finish overall in the final USA VS WA Speedweek Series point standings, the team will this week be welcoming back Kerry Madsen for a short Australian stint.
FOR the Krikke Motorsport team and their driver Dayne Kingshott, last Saturday night’s King of Wings at the Perth Motorplex was certainly a challenging one, but it was one that saw them play their Maddington Toyota Sprintcar Series JOKER card on the night and come away with a winning result.
WHEN you head into a new season, there is always the challenge of the unknown – as no matter how much preparation you do during the off season, the proof is always out on the track in racing conditions. For Dayne Kingshott and the Krikke Motorsport team, they started their 2023-24 season campaign on the right foot and claimed a win.
Excited, that is one of the biggest emotions Krikke Motorsport team manager Ryan Krikke carries heading into their 2023-24 season campaign with both team drivers Dayne Kingshott and Kerry Madsen.
THE Krikke Motorsport team showed plenty of speed throughout their 2022-23 season campaign and it resulted in them collecting a total of three 410 Sprintcar feature-race wins, with regular driver Dayne Kingshott scoring two wins while his international team-mate Kerry Madsen picked up one.
Krikke Motorsport team manager Ryan Krikke looked back on the season that was with plenty to be proud of, including the mammoth task of fielding a two-car team at some of the country’s biggest Sprintcar events.
“I’m really happy with the overall speed throughout the season, and one of the highlights was Dayne collecting another Western Australian Title for KMS and also winning the Prelude to the Championship event with Kerry,” commented Krikke.

“Dayne started the season very strongly, which included two wins in the opening four Maddington Toyota Series rounds, and heading into the Christmas-New Year period, we held down the point standings lead, but things didn’t quite go our way after that and we encountered some bad luck – including having one of our rounds brought to a premature end and missing out on starting the feature race which really hurt our season’s points race. But we turned it around and enjoyed a solid finish to the season by collecting three podium finishes in the final four rounds.
“Technically, Dayne has only been in a Sprintcar for three season and is still doing his apprenticeship, I guess. He’s been in the top five in the season points each year for us which considering the experience some of the local guys is a remarkable achievement, as he races beyond his experience and improves each time he hits the track.”
In refection of Madsen returning, Krikke had this to say.
“It was great for not only the Krikke Motorsport team but the whole sport of speedway in Australia to have Kerry back competing here for the first time in nearly three years, and although he only ran our second car for just on a month, he showed everyone he’s still capable of winning races and his fan base is as big as ever,” he enthused.
During the season, Kingshott scored a total of six feature race podium finishes, which included two wins, eight top-five finishes in both the Maddington Toyota Series and Perth Motorplex Track Championship point standings, while Madsen’s standout results were winning the Prelude to the Championship at the Perth Motorplex, along with top-10 finishes in both the Grand Annual Classic (eighth) and the Australian Championship (fifth).
