The Krikke Motorsport team is overwhelmed by the support received in recent weeks for last Friday’s Krikke Boys Shootout Ride to Conquer Cancer charity bike ride, which was labelled by all as a huge success.
The ride saw Krikke Motorsport team manager Ryan Krikke cycle 200 kilometres from Perth to Bunbury, just prior to the annual Krikke Boys Shootout which took place at Bunbury Speedway on Saturday and Sunday night, in an effort to raise much-needed funds for cancer research at the Harry Perkins Institute of Medical Research.
Arriving in Bunbury at 2.30pm after a long eight hours in the saddle, Krikke and the team continued their work to promote the Krikke Boys Shootout Ride to Conquer Cancer the following morning during the Fan Appreciation Day at the Bunbury Forum, donating 100% of the proceeds from their t-shirt, hat and hoodie sales to the worthy cause.

Achieving a whopping 91% of their goal to date, the Krikke Motorsport team managed to raise over $27,000, with support pouring in from all across the country.
“We are absolutely blown away by the amount of support and the generosity that people, in particular the speedway community, have shown over the past couple of weeks,” expressed Krikke, who celebrated the completion of his long journey in true Aussie style with a ‘shoey’.
“Nearly all of us either have been or will be affected by cancer in some capacity during our lives and to see people rally against the terrible disease and give so generously is extremely overwhelming and heart-warming.”
